VINYL ON VINYL
Vinyl On Vinyl is an urban art and music gallery that stocks vinyl toys, records, art prints, artwork, and other related merchandise. Our thrust really is to foster a home away from home for folks with a discerning taste in art and music and to highlight local artists while we're at it.
Vinyl On Vinyl engages the creative community in a whole range of activities such as but not limited to film-viewings, art talks, and art sessions. It also offers DJ lessons for aspiring turntablists with a line-up of the country’s finest beatsmiths as instructors. VOV involves itself in all sorts of avenues that support its business and allows artists to utilize the gallery space for projects/activities that are attuned to its vision.
This vision is to serve as a platform that features the best independent local artists in a variety of marketing endeavors such as the website, social networks, media releases, events (exhibits, performances, live art, etc.) and whatever other clever things we may think of.

OUTERSPACE GALLERY
OuterSpace Gallery is a brand new gallery that's located in the Collective in Makati on Malugay Street. First opened in April 2010, OuterSpace is a gallery that seeks to find young and new talent and expose them to the public. And when we say public, we don't just mean the "Art Crowd," we mean to everybody. We want to make art accessible to everyone by creating a warm and friendly space for art to have a home in. The founders of OuterSpace, Nick Santiago and Dustin Reyes have very little to no exposure to the local art scene -- themselves being novices in the field. But they do have a great love for beautiful things. And we believe that that's all you need to have a passion for art.
What we like to say is that for with the beautiful things and all the ugly things in the world -- there's room for it all in OuterSpace.
For more information, contact Dustin Reyes at 09152209777.

Collective Soul
By Liz Anne Bautista
You'd never guess that, within the confines of the warehouse-looking facade along the one-way street of Malugay, is the city's new destination du jour for shopping, food, art, and parties. Referred to as The Collective, the massive space, which used to house an autoshop, brings together a bevy of alternative retail shops that cater to the young and hip Manila set. Although the fresh paint smell hasn’t quite faded, and some shops still stand empty or half-finished, here are some of the stores that are open and already reinventing our concept of retail:
